if you take out the entire rear brake bezel, the bulbs are exposed from the back of the car. There are 3 or 4 bolts and they come out and slide in real easily. You might also be able to twist and turn the light from inside of the trunk.

I just replaced the blinker/tail light on my '97. First you have to move the hard, but bendable plastic trunk liner thats in the way of the 4 nuts holding the whole tail light housing in place. Take off the nuts and slide the tail light housing out from the back of the car. Turn the burned out tail light to get it free. Replace with the new one and put it all back together. Should take about 5 min.
Hope this helps.
