Default fuse keeps going bad, 1996 Mustang V6

Hello: I have a 96 ford mustang v6 that I recent had a new engine put in. However now my a/c was working and then blowing hot air. So I had my mechanic replace a blown out fuse and it worked again for about 5 miles. He put in another fuse and it blew out immediately. Why is this fuse blowing out so fast when I didn't even have my a/c turned on? The electric fan is working when I am in bumper to bumper traffic and the engine gets hot, it turns on, but when I turn on my a/c, the fan won't go on like it is suppose to. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks Cindy

Thanks. I am reading the Hanes manual now and I am visiting the mechanic tomorrow. Thanks again for the advise. Cindy

Cindy, you have a short somewhere in that circuit. You might do a visual inspection and look for pinched or exposed wire in the engine bay, particularly around the A/C compressor. Do not replace the fuse with a larger one and hope it keeps working as you may burn up your electrical harness and your car. Unless you know how to trouble shoot electrical problems, it is best to take it in and let a technician check it out. Good luck.....
