Hello everyone,

I purchased an 06 Mustang GT yesterday. I am very excited with this purchase. This is my first new car purchase (all others have been used). First muscle car, first Ford, first V8, first everything. I am not new to speed though. I was a crotch rocket guy until my new 05 Yamaha R1 was stolen.

Anyway, speed and power are a must for me, and I plan on doing a lot of stuff to the car, spread over some time of course. My questions to this community is this:

What mods can I do right away cheaply ($0-$800) to up the hp, and looks of the car?

What mods can I do in med price range (up to $2500)?

What mods can I do to make this one real badass car (top end parts/mods)?

I will probably treat this like a 3 stage work in progress.

My dad paints cars for a living, so I will be playing with photoshop awhile before I make a decision on how that will look.

1. Would be a cold air kit and chip tunning, and replace the stock mufflers.
2. Here my advice is a good set of wheels and tires, stockers are not wide enough. And also some lowering springs and a 3.73:1 rear end gear.
3. Supercharger.

There are things like exhaust that wont really give you much power for the money, the stock exhaust is actually very good, except for the mufflers.

Thanks for the reply. Is there a cold air kit you would recommend? I am thinking about flowmasters, but am still looking, just love the sound.

Brother in law owns a tire shop, so I will be replacing the stock wheels and tires quickly. He is also hooking me up with his "guy" for a chip and also knows a guy for window tinting. I am thinking about a mirror tint. Not sure if that is what it is called though.

The springs and gears will be following shortly.
