Default C4 transmission output shaft bushing

I have a Ford 302 in a Triumph TR6 with a C4 trans and a ridiculous amount of miles on it. It recently started making an odd mechanical noise in the rear that sounded like a bad u-joint. After replacing them….the noise was still there! After further inspection, I found the yoke coming out of the rear of the trans had a pretty good amount of play, and made a clunky noise if I pushed it up fast enough. I figured that is not good. I am assuming that the output shaft bushing is worn out and I am hoping this can be replaced without removing the transmission from the car. I am in need of instructions on how to do this, what special tools are needed, and where to get those tools. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If the shaft has play there will be other things wrong in the trans. Id hunt up a replacement or go for rebuilding. Do a search on google - there are a few articles detailing what is incolved building up the C3/C4/C6 transmissions.
