Curb the attitude. What makes you think after posting this that anyone will want to assist in future? Also, did you think that maybe noone was able to answer whatever question you posted?? Don't know about anyone else, but I try not to reply if I don't have anything productive to add so I don't look like a horses-behind!

<edit>
I assume this is the post you're talking about? http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...099#post492099 Sorry, but I don't know anything about that engine....

Cool who knows? It is only guessing.

Ever since joined this group I have had all kinds of help.

I agree with fordgrl99. If I don't have anything to say why say anything.

Even a fool, when he keeps his mouth shut is counted wise.

Pull the heads and get them planed.

Make sure that you torque the bolts in the proper sequence.

Alright sorry for the tude but you guys all seem to know the commin problem. Are warped heads commin to the 3.8 or is cracking. I have heard both, I really didn't think any thing of it at first. I replaced both head gaskets and made sure to torque them correctly. After all was said and done it is still pushing coolant out the exhaust. Took it all apart again to see if it was cracked, but you can't see crap should I take them to some one and have them checked.

Having them checked is always a good idea, I think. However, did you also 'search' the forums? I assume so since you mention hearing other issues with this engine. I searched on "3.8 leak" and found several good threads, including this one that you might want to take a look at: http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...light=3.8+leak

When the engine in my F150 kept leaking oil at 26,000 miles and the head gaskets had been replaced twice (by me and the guy that owned it originally), it was either warped heads, or the engine block was cracked. They never did say which, but did replace the engine under warranty.

Good luck in figuring out the problem and getting it fixed!!

you must apply a thin coating of sealant to the threads of the short cylinder head bolts(nearest the exhaust manifold) Do not put any on the long bolts. The tightening sequence MUST be followed.

37 lb-ft
45 lb-ft
52 lb-ft
59 lb-ft
then back-off the bolts 2 to 3 turns
then 37 lb-ft
59 lb-ft
no need to retighten after engine has run awhile...

Sure, but you might also have a cracked block. You should get the heads planned . Also check the intake manifold.

Yeah and have the block checked also. Get the heads magnafluxed. There are many many reasons why you can leak coolant past a gasket in that area. The best bet to get it the first time is to have the heads, block and manifold all checked out when it's pulled apart the first time. Tearing all that out, checking one thing and then going back to do it all over again is time consuming and really expensive.

you probably would have gotten a better response if you had posted in the V6 Forums.

The v8 guys wouldn't know anything about it.
