Default An A/C problem.

OK here's the problem. The A/C on my sons 89 convertible quit last month. The freeon level and pressures are ok, the low presure switch ohms out fine and there are 12 volts goint TO the switch. I cannot get 12 volts to the compressor though. If I apply voltage diredcly to the clutch it pulls in. I believe the dash control is ok because whe you turn it off, the 12 volts to the low pressure switch drops out.
The generic manual I have doesn't show much in the way of AC service because they don't want someone attempting a self fix. I have the necessary licenses for both home and auto refrigerant and work in commercial refrigeration for a living but without a wiring schematic, I can't tell where the two wires from the clutch go to upstream from the in line diode.

any thoughts?

Thanks for the link. I forgot to mention he has the 4 cylinder engine. I may still find a use for these though. The only part I'm not sure he has is the WOT cutout switch...........I didn't think a small 4 cylinder even HAD a WOT.......
