Default front brakes not working after new pads installed.

why would my brakes quit working after replacing the front pads? when car is shut off the work fine, when started the pedal goes to the floor.

check your bleeders, booster, master cylinder (did you put the cover back on securely?), soft lines (maybe you broke one?), etc..

Did you open the hydraulic system when you replaced the pads?
Did you have to move the pistons in the calipers to get the new pads on? If so, you have to pump the pistons back out before the brakes will work.
