Default help me find a vin please!!!

Hey guys I just got a 1967 mustang coupe and did not think to see if the VIN plate was thare. It has a California title and Oregon requires to see if the VIN # on the title matches the car before transfering to a Oregon title. I was wondering if any one would be able to tell me whare else it could be on the car and if you can get replacment VIN plates. Any help with this would be grateful. thanks.

67-68 vin plate on lower right (pass side) lower windshield opposite side on 69 up. also on front fender aprons, left and right, (under hood) usually under fender lip. meaning you might have to unbolt fender bolts under hood and if possible slide fenders out (if they'll move to actually see vin no's stamped on apron. if your lucky you may still have the core support tag on the core support, but these are usually missing because they are just held on by a screw. hope this helps. enjoy your 67

The 1967 Mustang does not have a VIN tag at the windshield as do the 68's and up. The VIN is stamped on the upper sides of both inner fenders as previously stated. The left outer fender usually has a cut out area so you can see it. On the right side you have to unbolt the fender and slide it out about an inch and you should then see it. Most states won't accept a VIN stamped on a removeable tag for obvious reasons. All the best.---------Chuck

On 1965-1967 Mustangs, the legal VIN is exposed by a cutout in the driver's side fender lip on top. Pop the hood and look and it should be there. If that VIN is missing, there is another one (or more) farther back under the fender that you should be able to register the car with. I had to use the 2nd VIN to register my red Mustang because some idiot replaced the front apron and didn't weld the VIN into the replacement panel.
