Default 1997 Mustang power seat track replacement

I'm having problems with the driver's side power seat mechanism in my '97 convertible, the up/down works fine for now, but the forward/backward is stuck. Is it possible to repair or replace the individual motors or does the entire track mechanism have to be replaced? 50 Resto has a replacement track in their catalog for around $300, and occasionally they show up on Ebay for about half that amount. Any recommendations or suggestions would be appreciated.

Have you tried to clean and lube the tracks themselves? When I installed power seats in my 66 bronco, they would do the same thing. some ol' white lithium grease, and some wd40 to get them unstuck, and those things worked until the day I sold it. Good luck!
