Default water in gasoline?

Hi All,

This is not a Mustang question, although it certainly could pertain to Mustangs or any other gas-powered vehicle.

It's about my John Deere riding mower/tractor.
The other day I got on it and started it up and it ran fine. Then after a few minutes it wouldn't stay running. I looked at the fuel filter -- it's the kind with a paper filter inside a clear housing -- and saw that there were globs of whitish liquid in it. I drained some of the gas into a bottle and it was all kind of milky white.
Does that indicate water in the fuel, or something else?

thanks.

Guess i've never seen water turn gas white and milky but I would suggest draining the tank adding new gas and some seafoam or similar fuel additive that contains cleaners and moisture remover in it.. Then you can come mow my lawn anyday you would like.
