Default Problems with engine please help.

I can't figure it out. I've been dealing with this problem months now. If anyone can shed some light on this i'd really appreciate it.
OK here goes. I had my engine completely rebuilt about year ago. Everything was fine for about 7 months until one day I had been driving the car all day and parked it over night. When I went to turn it on in the morning the car would not turn on. Finally after cranking it for about 5-10 minutes it turned on but with a horrible noise coming from the valve cover. I shut the car off, removed the valve cover and to my horror one of the push rods was bent. I took off the other cover and found another bent push rod. I've since changed all the lifters and push rods and the car runs fine until I let it sit over night. When I go to turn it on it starts missfiring and spews gas out of the carb. When I pull off the covers again two or more of the rocker arms are loose. I tighten them and the car runs fine until I let it sit for a few days then it does the same thing. HELP.

Mabey the locker nuts ar not staying tight. could that be the problem? what if the push rods are the wrong size?
