I have a 92 Mustang, 2.3 Liter. I have a problem that came up a month or so ago but disappeared until yesterday. From what I understand, there are two chimes/beeps in the dash. One is the ignition which is on the driver's side and works fine. The other I believe is the seat belt one. This is on the passenger side and intermittently beeps, sometimes 1 beep, sometimes 2, sometimes a string of 5 or 6. It does this while driving and is annoying as hell. All I want to do is disable it. How do I do this? Email me directly as this is impossible to deal with and I don't want to pay hundreds to just disconnect this beeping. gerald.donaldson@gmail.com

I have exact same problem and no immediate fix...but I am real curious as to what you find. Yesterday I had the beeping (usually a string of 5) and today I drove it for 3 hours and heard not one beep...odd

It's a problem with the air bag system. if you don't see the flashing light in the dash between the the speedo and tach-then it probably just the light being blown, if you see it then its other problems with it. not normally anything major, just with the old sensors they develop problems, unsure if it wont deploy if needed(kinda major), but alot of people just deal with it.or take the expensive trip to the dealer. and remember buckle upmore now than ever !!!
