Will a true dual glasspack exhaust exiting in front of the rear tire pass emisions?
You mean a side exhaust? like the Cobra R?
Emissions are regulated at the Cats and before, Noise regs are your likely problem.

Not in Texas, the exhaust tips have to exit the vehicle to pass inspection. This started with vehicles in the mid 80's.
Yea we also have to go over the rear axle, here in houston inspection crews just check if i have a muffler then give me a new sticker.

I just talked to a buddy of mine who is a vehicle inspector. He said that the exhaust DOES NOT have to go over the rear axle in TX, just exit the vehicle behind the doors.
Says that prevents the CO1 from entering the vehicle.

That's what I was thinking . . .
Otherwise the 2000 Cobra R would be illegal to drive in TX.
