Default Need a quick response about CATS on a 94-98

So my friend is taking off his cats tomorrow and offered to do mine while he's at it. Thing is, he drives a 02 GT and only has 2 cats. The 94-98 has 4. He said he will only do the back two and won't mess with the "pre-cats". Were not sure if it will sound any better if we cut them (the back two) off though. I need to know what yall think by tomorrow so give me some replies. Don't want to cut off the cats if its going to kill my gas milage/back pressure and not give a better sound.

I've heard that with the V6, you need all 4 for optimum performance. Too much flow on the 6's actually decreases power.

You way want to PM KSCOYOTE on it, he's the one who told me that.

It won't have any effect, you're just going to end up taking a chance on a very expensive ticket.

I took of my pipes and put on the offroad h-pipe. Not only does it sound like a mustang ,but actually gets better mileage combined with the other mods. If you don't have emmision restrictions you will love how it sounds!
