can someone please tell me what "ford tempered solar tint" means?? i have this on the side windows of my stang? i got a ticket for tint on my windows and they arent even dark!! What does tempered mean??anyone??

Tempered tint is the factory term for smoked windows. The last I checked in California, all factory tint is legal. I would fight it in court. Tell the jusge you have factory windows and that the officer did not use a light meter to determine the darkness of the window.

I looked up tint laws on the internet because I just got my windows retinted. The laws said that CA had no tint limit, but you can't have it on the windshield.

I don't know about Cali, but in romeoville, Illinois cops inpound cars for tint, even if first offense! I've heard that froms cops and seen it. Cops will bust you for any level out here.
