Default Disc brake conversion

I have a 86 stang that a couple buddies and I are building it was a 3.8L the motor was blown thats why we picked it up for so cheap, we put a 302 in it, i have a question, first off is we put a 8.8 possy in it we got from a cougar which just so happened to have disc brakes on it, so comes my question, what all is envlolved in changing the old system out, i have tried reading up on it and there isnt to much to read on the subject, i know the brake lines need replacing, the master cylinder can either be bored out or replaced with a bigger one but is there anything that I over looked.

proportioning valve. you need the stock proportioning valve for your front breaks, and you need to use an adustable valve for the rears, so that they dont get too much pressure and instantly lock up... at least thats what i THINK.

im trying to figure this part out myself...

EDIT:

okay so i did some research and i found a solution... its a bit pricier than finding the ford original valve, and modifying to bypass the rear proportioning, etc. etc... its just really confusing...

so i have decided to spend a few extra bucks and get one of these:
Performance Disc Brake Search Results from Stainless Steel Brakes Corporation (SSBC)

it controls proportioning for the rear and front brake bias.. basically it distributes brake fluid pressure to all four wheels however you want.. at 124 bucks, i think the hassle and confusion it saves (at least for me) is well worth it. should clean up the brake lines a bit too.

im not sure if you need to convert from 3-port to 2-port, that depends on the origins of the rearend you have, and whether that car was 2 or 3 port on the MC.

hey bro real quick, if you go to summitracing.com and search for "proportioning valve" you will find that SSBC part, but if you go to the next page of resulty, summit makes one that is exactly the same for 99 bucks.

Hey Guys. Does anyone have a list of dual master cylinders that are available at the local part store that will bolt into my '66 hardtop? Looking for year and model that will fit and work well with a front disk conversion, without having to dish out $$$ for an aftermarket one. Thanks for any help.

this thread was really dedicated to late model rear disc swaps, but if you go to http://www.discbrakeswap.com, they should be able to help you out with a dual bowl M/C. They make the stuff for the granada swap on mustangs, but a master cylinder is a master cylinder. as long as it fits, which theirs will, you should be fine.
