I have a Mach 1 that my husband thinks it might of been a special order car in it's time. I am trying to find the tag that is in the car door to look up what was in the car at that time. But I am not sure where to look on the door.

Right now the car has a 351W with a 3 speed on the floor 2 barrell. We are going to restore the car. For the engine is lock up right now. But we want to do it orginal. For we also have a 63 galaxie that my husband has beef up. (almost to much if you ask me.) But it's a man thing.

Any input on where this tag my be would be great full. For the one on the galaxie was metal and in the door jam, the only thing I see inside the door when you open it on this Mach 1 is a white sticker that everything on it has worn off.

Krista, The sticker you found on the door had the info you are looking for. Pre-1970 had the info on a metal stamped plate on the door. 1970- had the info on a sticker. You can use the body buck tag located on the passenger side inner fender to obtain most of the info you are after. Hope this helps.
