Default 347 stroker, cam choice??

I am building a 347 stroker in an '86 Mustang GT. I am wondering if you guys had any tips as to what cam I should upgrade to. I'm looking to keep it street. Not too radical. I have stock heads and am only replacing the springs for now. I also am going to upgrade the intake but have purchased nothing yet. I'm going to school for auto mechanics and this is my first build. Thanks for any insight.

Welcome... I'm going to move this to the Mustang Tech section for you. Good luck with the buildup.

Bet the best people to talk to would be comp cams, theyre tech line can set you right up with what you need. They do all the tests and i think they even have a set of cams made for the stroker motors now....that might be ford racing though, one of the two companies has a couple cams for the stroker motors

Hope this helps.

I've got an 86 with a 347. I went with a comp cam. runs good and has good streetability. Choice is yours, but I prefer comp cams over ford racing seeing as they specialize in cams
