Default Air Fuel Ratio Guages: how easy to install?

Hi all,

I was thinking of installing an AF:R gauge in my 5.0 HO and have been looking at a couple of guages on Summit Racing:

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...2D4375&FROM=MG

These are just the receiving guages so my question is; what exactly do these need to be wired into? What else needs to be purchased to make this work?
If anyone has successfully done this I'd be keen to read your experiences.

Thanks

I believe those gauges can tap into you existing O2 sensors, or you can weld in a new bung on your mid0pipe for a seperate sensor. Those gauges are more or less a light show though. For accuracy you need a wide-band O2 sensor, but that setup will run you around $250-$300.

So typically, the guage's source of information is just the O2 sensors, or even just one of them?
As for a wideband sensor, how do they affect the ECU?

Wideband does not effect the ECU because your monitoring it not the computer. The light show gauge from summit will tell you nothing but you can watch it bounce back and forth. You can tap into the O2 at the computer and keep all your wiring under the dash.
