Sure ist a good swap, when you add heads, and cam.
you can make 400 Hp easy. on the other hand its no better stock.
time to spend some money, and rebuild it. Otherwise you asking for trouble with an old motor like that.

How would the price of the engine relate to it's mechanical condition? The person selling it may be trying to rip you off. --- Chuck

Consider a worse case senario, needs new crank , pistons ect. could get pretty pricy. Consider the costs for parts and labor on a rebuild. There are some good prices on factory fresh crate engines.

Default Depends

If your asking that just putting in the 351 in place of the 302, i would not. I mean if the 302 runs and all. If you want to rebuild the 351, that would be a fantastic idea. I guess it all depends on what your trying to accomplish. I have one of each right now. The 351 has been stroked, and has 200 more horse than the 302 ( different mods of course ). I guess do what you can afford, and get the end result you want. Good luck.
