Recently bought a 1988 mustang 5.0 for $925. just wondering, it doesn't have keys to start it. how would i go about doing this. should i buy a new ignition?? or is there a place where i can take it and get a new set of keys?

U can buy a new lock and cylinder easy, but the original key is needed take out the old one unless u really know what u are drilling to get the old one out. U need to find a schematic of the ignition lock cylinder so you can see where you can drill on it to get it off without hurting anything. The dealer might even be able to do it for u or locksmith.

I have lost my keys twice. Both times i called a locksmith who came to the vehicles, and made keys. It cost me about $75 each time. Good luck.

Take your VIN and proof of ownership to a Ford Dealer. He can make the correct key.
