Default fog lights won't burn

I just got through installing fog lights on my 2007 mustang.I tried to tap on to the low beam light wire at the headlights so that they would work with the low beams and when you cut the high beams on they would go off. The problem I'm having is that the low beam lights burn for a few seconds ,then they go out. Does anybody have an idea what to do? I really don't want to install a toggle switch.
Thanks

The Harness should have the GT wiring in it.
The fog lights work with the switch pulled out and on low (With switch out) then cutoff on high.
Perhaps you can use them that way.

did you run it thru a relay? if not its too much load for the headlamp switch, i think also the headlamp switch goes to the smart relay juntion box. big g
