as for the ebrake question, whats wrong with it again? you said it was 3in too long...do you mean the cable? if so, FRPP sells one made for the fox bodies that go to a 5 lug setup. i believe the part number is M-2810-A

there was a how-to instruction manual from frpp floating around somewhere on how to install it, if i find it ill post it up. basically all it does it allows you to adjust the cable from underneath the car rather than by taking off the assembly. if you dont want to buy that, i just had to adjust mine (replaced all parking brake cables on my 98gt) this past weekend and will be more than happy to give you a how-to on adjusting it, but like i mentioned it involves you taking the actual assemble out of the car (which i think is already out anyway, right?) and it might not leave it short enough to fit anyways. i dont think it had 3" worth of slack, if i remember right.
or is the actual ebrake assembly too big? if so then you just have to find one thats model/year specific.
as for the computer...just unplug the battery for a few hours, i think 2 hrs should be good enough (i had mine unplugged for about 8hrs on time and it reset it)
