Default 2001 V6 Mustang Problems

I have a 2001 V6 mustang. When on a cold start up, and when i drive off i floor it and i get very torquie take-offs. But when i let my car warm up, and i floor it, on the RPM it hesitates from 1.5 to 3.

And i also have a high idle, when going down the road in 1st gear i go up to 3 RPM and let off the gas and it stays and very slowely goes down. When normally it should jerk you forward. Whats wrong??

Sounds like a bad TPS or idle air control valve.

What did you have before? the slow idle comes from the heavy flywheel and engine management for emissions.

cold start up comes from rich mixture/choke.

re: hesitation: when did you last change your filter? How many miles are on the car? and what kind of air filter are you using?

you should have had the fuel filter changed some time ago.

go ahead and clean your MAF sensor with computer contact cleaner, and pull the negative wire off the battery fo r15 minutes.

you really need a complete tune up.
