no. Lean is the worst -better rich than lean.

too lean and you might burn some ex valves or a piston........too rich and you will wash the lubrication off the cylinder walls and be carbon fouling plugs.....

leaning an engine out will make more power but the possiblity of engine failure is increased...

what will happen if my engine is running a little bit lean. but by the way... will the Jet performance module for my 06 GT tune my JLT CAI? i was getting the impression that the people that sold me the CAI also want to make a sale on the sct tuner. the JET chip tunes the mustang for the best performance and i was told it is great with all aftermarket intakes. it will change my air/fuel ratio and octane setting to 91. as well as the spark plug timing. will i be ok to install the chip and the JLT CAI?

Those are junk and may destroy your engine, get a reputable, programmable chip.

you can't tune anything with those, they simply trick the computer.

there is no fuel additive that can save you from a lean condition.

When an engine runs too lean, the cooling effect of the fuel is lessened thereby making the valves run hotter...esp the ex valve. The point at which this happens is in the part of the valve stem that rides in the valve guides. The stem gets so hot, the valve head actually melts off the stem leaving the valve head rattling around in your oil pan after going through the piston. Also, since the burn is hotter, holes may develop in the pistons directly under the spark plug. And, one more thing is that with less fuel and more air, the burn is more violent than a smooth flame traveling across the combustion chamber resulting in detnoation and castrophic engine failure.

As far as you chip goes......I am in left field.

DiabloSport, SCT, and Sniper sell actual tuning devices. The Jet module is not a tuning device.

The module simply changes the resistance of the electronic components. It tricks the computer. It does not change the computers program.

The intake is irrelevant.

Install the intake, leave off the module. It's junk.
