Hey Guys...I just finished pulling my engine detailing along with the engine compartment. Can anyone tell me what color the DIp Stick
top to the transmission should be. I know the oil dip stick top is blue

TIA
Rick

The C4 automatic trans tube itself should be semi-gloss black.

The dipstick handle itself should be natural. The problem with leaving it natural for very long is it will oxidize/rust. You can clean it up and clear it or paint it with a light metallic gray/silver paint to imitate close to the original look. If you're going 100% concourse and planning on competing with the car at shows I would go with the clear method.

Hopefully a 1969 convertible or Sportsroof (non Mach or Boss) for next Mustang project

Trying to find my father's 1973 Mustang Grande he bought brand new. 3F04F126773 last known registration and title was in New Jersey, 1982.

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.
Also, someone told me that the carb return spring should be green. Would you know if that is correct.

No, I don't know for sure. MCA judging rules only say the V8s should be black.

NPD lists one for 65-67 6cyl (part # 9737-1A, on page 96 of the 2007 catalog) but they don't say anything about it being concourse approved as they do with several others.
