I have an 88 GT, my 15amp #1 brakelight/flasher/cruise cont. fuse keeps blowing. I put a 25 amp in it and it worked for like 15 minutes and then blew. I tried replacing the brakelight switch and i am still at the same spot. although the brakelight switch is getting hot and so are the wires going to it, when this happens my brakelights get very dim and the fuse blows. I was wondering what your opinions were on this subject an will appreciate any input you have.
i would say you have a hot wire grounding out some places going back to tail lights or something else thats hooked up to that fuse....dont put a biggger fuse in there till u find the problem... u may start a fire or wreck the wireing.... have u installed any new accessorys lately... put anything in the trunk that might have pinched a wire??
