I bought a 94 Cobra (54k orig miles) and have been driving it for a few months. I have a few problems that are showing up now......

Problem 1 I decided to put A-piller Guages on the car because it seemed to run hotter than I thought it should even after a 180 stat was dropped in. No big deal but after the instal I get a 52 code flashing on airbag idiot light in the dash, what have I done??? Any Ideas??


Problem 2 After a few hard shifts well ok after MANY hard shifts I get a popping noise comming from the back side of the trans area when I give it gas and let off. Could this be the shifter? Or have I already Broken the trans? hehe Im betting Tranny swap but I hope not.


Problem 3 The first thing I did when I got the car was replace the front brakes. Well with the new pads in i get a rattle going down the road untill I step on the brakes a bit then it shuts up till I let off them. Is there something that I missed like a shim kit or something??

Other than the few problems stated above I love this car.

The only other Mods I have done is I put a set of BBK OffRoad H pipes with Stinger Mufflers and Underdrive pullys and K&N filter in it. Just basically a stock Corbra that ROCKS!!!!!

Any tips or advice you can give will be greatly appriciated

Ill try and look up a code 52, but for the other ?'s..
You might have broken or ripped a tranny mount... if it makes a noise when you transfer from under load to no load, that would be a good place to start...
Some brake pad sets come with shims.. others have them already on the pads . did you use disc brake quiet on the pads when you installed them? also, where did you get the pads?

Thanks Ill check the trany mount as far as the brake pads I bought them at one of our local O Rileys parts house and yes I did put the disk quiet stuff on them but it seems not to have helped
