Default engine swapping

I was wondering if anyone knew if I would be able to put a 80's 5.0 L engine with a 5 speed tranny into my 66 mustang and what i would need to bolt it up and what rear ends would bolt up to it cause right now I have the straight six and hate it. If anyone can help thanks.

I am building a 1972 Mustang and have put a 1991 Lincoln 5.0 and 4 speed AOD in and it was not difficult you will need new Windsor small block motormounts and a aftermarket transmission cross member. Check with Summit. Everythin is bolt on no welding and the motor fits like a glove. Since I started with a Lincoln Mark VII I had to change timing cover, oil pan and dip stick tube but if your 5.0 is out of a Mustang you shouldn't have to do all this. What ever it takes it is worth it. I replaced a cleveland 351 with a 300 HP roller rocker moter and it flys. I however am having problems finding a shifter that will fit my 72 console, but if you go with standard no problem.
