Default i just bought a 91 mustang 5.0 and i need a little help something is wrong with it

if anyone can help me i bought a 91 mustang 5.0 and it idole's up and down when i am stopped at a light until it dies unless i steady give it gas..
and it always smells flooded all of the time no matter if i give it gas or not. can anyone help me with this problem
i have had new plugs, wires, distrubtor cap and oxygen sensor nothing seems to be making it better.

please help me

Two things to check. The IAC on the side of the throttle body, take it off and clean it out as well as you can using brake or air intake cleaner. Then have the fuel regulator checked to see if it holds vacuum. There's an internal spring and diaphragm that can tear or break and cause a constantly flooded condition like you describe.

that sounds good and all but i still new at fixing cars yes i am a girl but i come from a long line of mechanics and all if anyone is around the st louis area and know about this and can maybe help me fix it and not try to get over on me i would appreciate it all the mechanics i have took it to keeps puting parts on it that it doesn't need.. and i am running out of money i can't find any high performance shops around the area that i can trust anyone know of any..
