Default rear brake squeak/shake issue..

Ok.. I messed up.. ill admit it. Had to make a U-turn.. roads were slick.. i pulled around fine, but the back right tire kept sliding and nailed the curb at about 5 mph. all the way home, bad shake and squeak. I get home and pull the wheel off. I notice that one of the anti-rattle clip off the end is missing.. so i get a new clip and put it on..notice the pad is warn unevenly.. thicker at top than bottom cuz the pad kicked in and out...but it would wear itself down. put brakes back on like normal.. and the caliper was hard to put on cuz of the top leaf springs on the pads (i think thats why). Anyway, im still getting a slight squeak and shudder.. could it jsut take some more setting time to wear the pad to flat? Im gonna check it again tommorow.. just looking for possible advice.

it is possible to get a squeal if you don't put any grease on the pad backing plate other than that, I don;t know

To be on the safe side, I would replace all your rear pads. Then take it around the block and make sure it doesn't. If it keeps the squeaking and shuddering up, it may be something more serious.

Stang- yeah i put the disc brake quiet on..
Twister- no but they slid in ok.. could that cause it?
Nestle- can't replace the pads until i get some money... I wouldnt think that it could seriously damage at a 5 mph impact... unless it pushed the axle in.
