I just pulled out a crank out of my friends 2000 mustang with a bent rod. If I am not mistaken all the 99-04 GT's have 6 bolt cranks right? Is this one of those rare things? I am going to drop it by my local shop to have it looked at to see if it is true and if it is forged or not. I just know it is heavy as crap. The reason for my question is we are putting in a 2003 motor when I noticed the flywheel on the 2000 motor had 8 bolts. I know ford had problems with keeping up with the engine demand from 99-2000 but were they so stretched to put in a 8 bolt cobra crank? Also do or did they make a none forged 8 bolt crank, may be a truck crank or something?
