1995 Mustang GT Signal Lights Not Working

My signal lights are not working and air bag light is on. Checked fuse for signal lights and it is blown, tried installing new one and it blew instantly. Any one experienced this problem?

I spent some time on my car and discovered that the fuse #1 only blows when I shift car into reverse (5 Speed). So I have come to the conclusion that the back up switch must be defective or one of the reverse lights are shorting to ground. I haven't driven this car for 5 years and recalling having this problem when I parked it in the garage then. I bought the car new in 1996 and it only has 60 000km's on it (40000 miles) I sure enjoy driving it again....
