The 50 Resto catalog has all the parts for Mustang convertible tops.

On my 1996 you just remove the rear seat. Two push pins on the bottom seat then two bolts on the seat back(at the bottom). There is your motor in all its glory. P.S. have you made sure that it is not the safety switch on the emergency brake that is making the motor not work?

Uhm, I dunno if I know which safety switch your talkin about. Yeah I actually found the motor though, its like common sense, there is a little cover over it ya just unlatch it basically haha.

On my 96 at least you have to have the parking brake handle pulled up in order for the convertible top to be raised or lowered. There is a safety switch in there to keep you form raising the top while you are driving. Don't know if yours has the same thing or not. Just trying to be helpful.
