Default Transmission not shifting right!

I have a 2003 Mach 1. It is an automatic transmission. I went to go somewhere and it was going through the gears. It went through the first 2 and then when it goes to go into the next one, it revs up and the rpms go higher and higher and it will not go into the next gear. Anyone have any ideas? I am in my extended warranty.

Sounds like the clutches might be going out in it. In other words, it's slipping and that means a tranny rebuild. You can get rebuild kits pretty cheap now and if you go this route, get the best kit you can afford, don't choose based on price. You can get it from Dynamic Racing Transmission, Performance Automatic, Lentech, Art Carr, they're all good. Be a good time to upgrade the converter and get a deep pan as well.

It does sound like its going out and needs a rebuild. If its under warranty take it to Ford and get it replaced. It should be free right?
