Default Has anyone used HPC Exhaust and Header Coatings ?

Has anyone ever used HPC Exhaust and header coatings to try and reduce their under hood temperature ??? I'm just looking for some feedback !

Quote:

HiPerCoat's® inorganic matrix provides greater protection, and avoids the staining or bluing characteristics found with traditional chrome and stainless.

This unique process reduces ambient under hood temperature while increasing horsepower. Performance benefits can be attributed to: combustion chamber stabilization and reduced under hood temperature due to the improved air density; increased gas velocity due to the heat retaining properties of the coating; and better laminar air flow due to the elimination of oxide scale on the header's inside diameter.

I have coatings on my turbo set-up. There is a heat bearer coating on the inside and out with a black ceramic coating on the outside. They claim a 20-30 deg drop in temp under the hood. The main reason I had everything coated was to keep the temp up inside the header pipe, turbine, and down pipe. This helps with keeping velocity up which helps to create pressure or boost

I have not run the turbos with the coatings yet, but I'm sure it will work just fine

There are other, and I believe better, companies then HPC. I've seen some of their stuff start to flake off. There could have been other reasons for it, I don't know.

I had my stuff done by Cap's Brite Hoat Coatings
