Default 1989 Mustang GT Convertible 5.0 to 460 Cubes

I have a 89 GT convertable and was wondering if anyone has put a big block 460 in one and what is required to do so, I want to use a C-6 tranny.

It's been done and there's a complete swap kit available for this exact swap. Aside from the actual engine components, you'll need these... http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...=modeBmatchall

Thanks for the information, glad kits are available as I am just finnishing another project installing a 5.0 Lincoln Mark motor and 4 speed AOD in a 72 mustang and it has been a learning experience. I am desperately trying to find a shifter that will allow me to use the factory console which is like new. I am going to check Lokar and see what they can do. These forums are excellent in gathering information. Thanks

Russ
