Default 2000 Mustang New Pads Dusty and Squeaking

Hey Guys -
I just replaced the pads on my 2000 Mustang with some Bendix Pad They are basically OE parts.

I have only driven them for about 10 miles but I noticed a lot of brake dust and they are quite squeaky. My old pads (lasted 60,000 miles and could easily go longer) never squeaked or made dust.

Should I just wait a few days and see of they break in a little more and stop dusting and making noise? Or is this part of the break in stage.

I called Autozone and they will happily give me replacement parts at no cost.

Note - I did not put squeak stop on the back of the pads. I was told it was not needed. I guess it wouldn't hurt.

Thanks

OK - gang we should be all good now. I read did the whole operation ( I need the practice anyway). And cleaned the rotors and pad really well. I also sanded them both a little bit too. Then I added the brake lube as I should have in the first place.

Took her out for a 15 min drive and I only had some very slight squeaks. I bet in about 50 miles I'll be all set.
