Default Mobile 1 Full Synthetic for high mileage

I just picked this up to switch over from conventional motor oil. My manual says that the oil should have the certified for gasoline engines on it, and mobile 1 doesn't have that.

I believe it also has a ATF (something along those lines) and my manual says not to use an oil with that.

It's a '95 3.8 'stang.

Default Mobil 1 use

I've been using Mobil 1 in everything that moves since the day it was put on the shelves. F100 with 25k miles, honda civic 362k miles, honda accord, 200K, another civic 150k, TR6, 32K, lawn mower[ 17 years and no tear down] Even use synthetic in my weedeater, 22 years old. This oil is compatible with any engine I've ever seen. It's going into my '08 GTCS as soon as it hits 1k miles. Many of my friends use M1 in 3.8s and they run them hard. Never any smoke wear or problems. If you have a leaky engine it will leak more because the molecules are more uniform in size. Other than that a tight engine will not leak any more. I consider Mobil 1 to be the best thing on the market bar none. I only change my oil 2 times per year regardless of mileage. If you feel the need change the filter only every 3k, tho I think even that is unnecessary. There are so many "old wives tales about motor oil, I know its hard to sort it all out. The API code is the certification. ATF is transmission fluid.
