Question 351 windsor questions

hello guys,i have a 89 coupe that i am looking to install a 351w in.i have a few questions about the 351w.what years were 9.2 deck and what years were 9.5 deck height? were they ever internally balanced? what years used 50 oz and what years used 28 oz for counterweight external balance? what type of vehicle should i look for to get a 351w and c4 combo? thanks to all of you for your help.i hope i did not seem to stupid.

Bry- I doubt that ford ever did the kind of internal balancing it sounds like you're into (from the factory, anyway). I will tell you that the 351w is one hellacious motor that will handle pretty much anything you throw at it--were you going to go the SEFI route or a fire-breathing dual carb setup? I've heard that B&M and Weiand make some dual screw huffers that are good for up to about 20 psi... Hope this helped a bit or just whetted your palate for more speed...

9.2 deck was a 351 Cleveland not a Windsor. In 69/70 there was a 9.48 deck height after that all Windsors where 9.5
