Default Can the a9l eec IV's use wideband oxy?

When a low or high A/F signal is recieved from a standard oxy sensor, I understand that the eec does not react proportionally but will either increase or decrease the duration of the next fuel injections by a certain amount. I gather that this is a limitation of the oxy sensor and not the eec. How large an increment is used? A standard set amount, perhaps small enough that it might take a few intake cycles in order to correct the problem? Or a larger amount, perhaps based on some calcs involving some of the other sensors (TP, rpm, etc) in an attempt to correct the problem on the next intake event?

Can the a9l eec be programmed to react proportionally in conjunction with wideband oxy sensors?

I was wondering the same thing...
I was also wondering if a wideband O2 is installed for monitoring purposes, can it also be used in place of the original narrow band O2? Make a custom plug so you can get away without mounting another?

The short answer is no, it cannot, However some of the better wide band controllers do have the proper output via a wire that goes directly to the ECM. The controller converts the wide band signal to output the proper voltage.

I have a Zetronix setup with this option. One stock sensor was eliminated and the wide band sensor uses the stock location.
