In my opinion, an H pipe gives you better sound, louder. An X pipe is a little quieter and flows a little better. Depends on how much you want to spend. I wouldn't dish out too much more just for an X pipe. Go with what's cheaper unless price isn't a question.

Ok here is how it works. The h-pipe has better bottom end than the X. The X has better top end than the H. And it depends on the muffler you are going to use. The X-pipes work better with straight throught mufflers like the Magnaflow muffler. The X doesn't work as well with baffle style exhaust like the Flowmaster. I have a H-pipe with Flowmasters. It sound good and I do want to change over to the X some time. When I do I will get the Magnaflow exhaust too. If you go to Stangnet.com they have an audio visual section. There is a guy with a 01 or 02 GT with Magna flows and it sounds mean. There is also a guy with a 91 GT with a X and 2 chamber Flowmasters. Make it sound the way you want.

That guy is a retard. Having an h-pipe won't mess up your warranty. It will give you more horsepower and it sounds much better than just having two straight pipes.

The only thing that they may have a problem with would be an off-road H-pipe.. meaning no cats on it.. I dont know if a dealer can void a warranty over that or not tho... its certainly not legal for street.

there usually isnt a better.. just depends on the sound you want... X-pipes have a raspy sound and i believe are for torque and the H-pipes are more throaty and for higher rpm.. of course i may have that backwards...

I believe you do, Vortex. The x-pipe is for top end power and the h-pipe is for bottom end power.

you would want a dual setup after the H-pipe due to it's 4-port design.

I love my X pipe. It scavenged much better than my stock H pipe.
