Exclamation 1998 Mustang Upgrading

I have a 1998 mustang with v6 engine, I was wanting to find out how hard it would be to place a 302 v8 engine in to this car. I have the engine already and am wanting to put it to good use, now it is just sitting in my building. So other then some small changes I was told that this is a easy task to do. Is there any body that can let me know how hard this is or send me to a webpage to help with this problem?

Yes I do think it would be easer to seel the v6 and buy a Gt, but that would take most of the fun out of it. As far as i know the Gt and my mustang have the same body and over all the same weight, so what i am wanting to try to do is to place the 302 v8 in to my car and see if i can complet the project. I know that the suspension has to be changed which i have all ready got, but is there anything els that will have to be done to place the 302 v8 in to my car?

I'm pretty sure the motormounts are different. You're also going to need a new transmission, and the 7.5 rear-end is weak. Like Roger said, sell the 6 and buy a GT, then the fun really begins!

Will the motormounts be to hard to work out so that the 302 V8 will fit in to the Mustang? I all ready have most of the things that need to be changed like the transmission, drive shaft, rear-end, new suspension, whole new breaking system and a few other things for the car but I was not sure what all would have to be do to place the motor in to the car. That is about the only problem i have to work out so far. Ihave been told to different things and I was trying to find out which was right, I have been told that the motor should just slide in and then on the other had I have been told that I will have to change a few things but that over all it should slide in to place. So will the motormounts be all that I have to chang or will there be a little more work to it then that? Ya i could sell the 6 and buy a Gt(I know that would be fun) But i have the 6 and have been told that I can work it in to the Gt and as far as I know I have all the parts need to do that, Since if i was to buy I Gt I would still be doing the same amount of work why not use what I have?
