Default 1995 Explorer 5.0l Motor

I have a 1988 5.0L Mustang completely stock (speed density). Need to know if 1995 Explorer 5.0L motor parts are of any use to my Mustang? Intake, throttle body etc.. found complete 5.0L Explorer in bone yard.
Any information would be great!

As far as I know, the heads and intake can be used. Basically, everything could be physically swapped over but the Explorer 5.0 isn't an H.O. like yours. The cam shouldn't be used, nor should the throttle body.
Welcome to the site, by the way.

Default 5.0l Explorer

Thanks for the reply, I found out that motor is a 1997 not a 1995. Yeah, just look'n for the normal bolt ons. I did hear the throttle body and the upper/lower intakes were a good cheap way of upgrading...i went and bought the explorer throttle body from the wrecker and found the instructions on the tmoss site and seems pretty straight forword to install. Trying to decide if I should buy upper/lower intake from the same explorer. Not sure what a good price for them would be either?
I paid 60 bucks for the throttle body.

you can buy a whole engine here for $600. So, $300 is a fair offer for the heads and intake..........lots of guys buy a whole engine and sell off parts they don't use.

Thanks for repling and I think I might just buy the whole engine like you said. Pending on how much they think the engine is worth to them.
Thanks again for your help!
