i have a 1999 mustang gt and when i drive there is a knocking in the exhaust does anyone know what that is?

i no this might sound a little odd but i have a 94 cobra and it did sounds like the same thing. But it turned out the noise that i heard was the conveters on my h pipe comming apart. eventully it stopped but if you think this could be a possibility you either can replace the conveters or what i did was took the exhuast off and hollowed them out

no i have only mufflers, someone told me i could have snapped a rod but i just want to make sure...
