Slave cylinder location on 94 Ranger

I know this is off topic for the mustangs forum but a friend of a friend of mine really needs some help on the location of the slave cylinder on a 1994 ford ranger. I do not know if it is a 4 or 6 cyl model or two or 4 wheel drive but any help would be good. Also the dealer wanted 1,000 dollars for this job.

I could give you and your friend a lots of suggestions but could not PM you. There are all kinds of options out there from the external ones to the internal ones (McLeod). He running the stock motor? Shoot me a PM with more info and I can sure point him in the right direction (I'd V-8 it myself).

They have a similar setup as AFM. He should be able to find out the information he needs there.

if you're talking about the clutch slave cyl. that is in the tranny (on the input shaft) behind the clutch.

but knowing the engine size (2.3L, 3.0L, 4.0L) and drive will help.

from what i see in the manual, Yes. ( i looked up a 2.3l 4x4 and a 3.0l 2x4)
