Default Help installing a COBRA XRS R9G Radar Detector in a 2004 GT Mustang GT

My Cobra XRS R9G radar dectector was delivered today and I wanted to install it but I am unsure of how. It connects a 12V wire to the Fuse box of my 2004 Mustang GT. I am not used to the electronic parts of the car and am not keen about having the dectector installed by some store. I am tired of getting pulled over so I decided to buy a radar dectector. I opted for a more descrete version since it is not as easy to talk your way out of tickets if it doesn't work. It is said to be an easy install but I am only used to using the ones that plug into the cigarette lighter. Does anyone have any information or help in this matter?

All you do is tap into the fuse box, making sure you get a circuit that is on only when the key is on, which would be something like the fan motor. But remember a detector doesn't tell you before you're being clocked but WHEN you're being clocked.
Welcome to the site and have fun.

Ok, so other kinda dumb question I know but as I said before the whole electronic part is new to me...used to working on old ones. Do I use a slot that is in use or one that says not used? Also, where do I ground it. I'd assume the metel box around the fuse box but that is just me...probably wrong.
