To anyone who can help:
I own a 1993 Ford Mustang 2.3L LX. I am trying to locate the existing A/C Relay for replacement. If anyone knows where this thing is, I'd be much obliged if you'd help.
About a week ago, literally over night, my Mustang stalled out when I started it. This happened two more times, and the only thing that kept it from happening a third time was putting it in reverse. I was able to drive the car that day, however it ran very rough and below the usual RPMs both in drive and in idle. This is when I would get a Check Engine Light and the car would stall shortly Afterward.
Whenever I come to a stop, even after a drive, the car has a severe shudder coming from the engine compartment. The A/C is now also only blowing through the defroster vent. I tried to manually idle the car up a bit, and that worked, but when I turned the A/C on again the RPMs and idle cut in half. At that point, no matter how I idled it, the RPMs and idle did not change.
Now, when I turn the key in the ignition, there is an automatic boost in the RPMs, but then it immediately stalls out. If I give it some gas for about 30 seconds, the car will run very rough for about a minute and then stall out.
I have changed the fuel filter and I've checked the idle sensor on the throttle body. I was told it may be the A/C Relay, but I cannot locate it within the car. If someone knows where it is, or can tell me wheter or not I'm going in the right direction, please let me know!!
