Default Info Desired on installing T5 in 1967 Mustang

Hi,

I have a 67, 6 cylinder, 200 ci, 3-speed Mustang. I am trying to figure out what I would need to install a T5 transmission. I have emailed quite a few transmission companies, and I got one vague response from Dallas Mustang. They gave me a part number, but no explanation to go with it.

From what I have gathered through surfing the web and reading articles, this swap can be done. One of the articles said to take a T5 from a newer Mustang. So, I have been keeping my eye open for a wrecked 5 speed Mustang. What would I take from this "donor" car, and what else would I need to buy?

I do not want to spend a small fortune. I have been told I can buy kits with everything for several thousand dollars, but that would not be worth it to me. I would just keep driving it as it is. However, if I could get a transmission cheap and buy a reasonably priced conversion kit, then it might be worth it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Gayle

Default T-5

This is a T-5 setup in the AFM classifieds:

Together with the kit info I emailed you for the 67 V6 swap, this will do the trick (actually, it will save you buying a new shifter and clutch, too) for $725. Add the $429.95 kit, some shipping, and you're done.
