Default Mass air conversion troubles

Hello everyone. This is my first post and it's gonna be a long one. There seems to be a lot of good, smart people on this website so I'm asking for your help. I am more of a truck guy myself but have always had a mustang somewhere on the back burner. My current problem is with a 1987 Lincoln limo with the 5.0l that I am turning into a monster limo. The car is speed density and I have swapped it to mass air with the a9p computer because I will eventually put twin turbos on it.

I've had three computers on this car because the first two had blown capacitors on different circuits and caused different problems except for the no start condition, which is what I still have. So I'm pretty sure those computers were bad to begin with because there is nothing visually wrong with my current computer. If I unplug my mass air and plug the speed density computer back in the car runs fine.

So here's what it does. It will start right up and die after about 4 seconds. I have checked fuel pressure (32 psi), injector pulse, and spark. I even opened the throttle to see if I could keep it running but it still dies. I pinned out the mass air sensor and it's changing voltage so I assume it's working and I'm also not getting any codes for it. The only things I have changed are the computer and mass air sensor. The only codes I get are for the egr, the air solenoids, and the fuel pump secondary circuit. From what I know of mustangs those codes shouldn't cause a no start condition.

I was hoping to have it lifted and almost ready for the mud by now but I have been fighting this problem for over a month now and would really appreciate any help you guys could give me. Thanks again and sorry for the long post.

Did u follow the directions because u need to change the pins in the harness going to the computer. Make sure u have the computer plug pins correct. Also make sure u replace the ignition switch it is a factory defect that will cause the car to catch fire. I saw one first hand on a limo with a 5.0 the fire would not go out until I cut the battery cable.

Yes, it is wired correctly occording to the conversion diagrams. I figured it out this weekend. It is all my own stupidity. I am trying to put an HO computer on a NON HO car. I was so concerned with the wiring and computers and everything else I neglecting to look at the basics. Now I have to change the cam in order to fix it the right way and I wasn't planning on going that far right now so I don't know what I'm gonna do now. The weird part is that it seems to run fine for the few seconds that it runs. Thanks for the info on the ignition switch! I already bought one and was planning on replacing it because mine is melted. I thought somebody just shorted it out though and I had no idea they were catching fire.
